Even when more invasive treatment is covered, patients may still face deductibles, copays, time away from work, recovery demands, pain, and the risks that come with surgery or other escalated care. For appropriate candidates, regenerative care may be a less invasive option to consider before moving toward those paths.

In other words, lack of coverage does not mean lack of value. It often means the treatment does not fit neatly into the insurance system.
